Ernest Hemingway may have had an insatiable appetite for life, but he also had a sophisticated palate. Wherever his travels took him, he sampled the local cuisine and chronicled many of his gastronomic adventures in his work. References to food and drink abound in his novels and short stories, and it is only fitting that the Hemingway brand has recently expanded into the tabletop category.

Drawing inspiration from Hemingway’s many travels and writings, as well as personal items from his home outside Havana, the Finca Vigia, Ernest Hemingway Legendary Tablescapes will feature ceramics, oven-to-table stoneware and period inspired pewter and barware.

Dinnerware items will be available in three style collections: Finca, Safari and Moveable Feast.  Made from handcrafted Portuguese stoneware, the Finca collection features textured natural elements inspired by Hemingway’s Cuban home.  Safari stoneware features subtle African motifs and a neutral taupe color.  A rich slate texture adds sophistication and elegance to the Moveable Feast collection, named in honor of Hemingway’s memoir detailing his life in Paris during the 1920s.  Pieces are designed to fully complement forthcoming collections of stemware, flatware and decorative accents.
